# Overview # What this theme gives you Almanac makes a recurring programme feel like a living printed ledger. Visitors start with a real month, open any day, and move between sessions without decorative dead squares or links to months that do not exist. ## How to use it 1. Activate **Almanac** from Capell’s theme-management surface. 2. Choose **Spring Tide**, **Projection Room**, or **Harvest Table** in Theme Studio. 3. Create month-addressed calendar pages and keep the first and last content months accurate. 4. Add sessions with a title, local start time, optional end time, series, day-page link, and one coarse availability band. 5. Give days without sessions useful recurring-hours copy, or leave them as designed rest days. 6. Preview keyboard navigation, mobile agenda layout, no-JavaScript output, and reduced motion before publishing. ## Almanac sections - **Month Grid** is the homepage-scale living ledger. - **Season Band** links only to months in the bounded content range. - **Day Ledger** orders one day’s sessions by local start time. - **Next Sessions Strip** carries a content-ordered window that remains true without a client clock. - **Season Archive** shows past programmes and optional editorial footnotes. - **Booking Slot Card** resolves Bookings, Form Builder, then email. - **Series Index** groups recurring programmes and supplies quiet-day metadata. - **Next Opening Countdown** keeps its target date readable without JavaScript. - **Year Heatmap** shows a visible and announced count for every month. ## Good to know - Do not write “three places left” into calendar content. Use the three availability bands; live capacity belongs inside the booking flow. - A month with no explicit entries becomes a closed-season interstitial, not an empty grid. - Archive footnotes appear only when an editor supplied them. - Comments appear only when the day entry enables commentary and Comments is available. The theme never guesses from the date. - Saltern Sea Baths, its people, programme, email address, and history are fictional demo content.
