# Overview ## What this theme gives you Broadsheet turns structured page content into a dense editorial board for prices, standings, results, and other regularly published figures. It combines readable tables, sparklines, edition timestamps, notices, and an imageless front page without pretending the data streams continuously. ## How to use it 1. Open the theme-management extension entry for **Theme Broadsheet** and activate **Broadsheet** for the intended site. 2. Choose **Closing Bell**, **Morning Edition**, or **Split Screen** in Theme Studio, then adjust the standard theme controls. 3. Build pages in Layout Builder with Broadsheet's board, ticker, summary, wire, fact, notice, session, and closing-notice sections. 4. Enter already-published values and absolute edition times, preview the table order at desktop and mobile sizes, and then publish through the normal Capell workflow. ## What it adds - A server-rendered board with accessible table semantics and optional client-side sorting. - A ticker strip, summary tiles, sparklines, wire digest, imageless lede, fact columns, notices, session schedules, and condensed index band. - Boardroom listing and closing-notice variants for directory and conversion pages. - Progressive enhancement for ticker motion, sorting, relative display times, session badges, and sparkline reveals, with no network requests. - A seven-page Harrow & Vale Growers' Exchange demo covering all standard theme surfaces. ## Good to know - Install **Foundation Theme** and **Layout Builder** first. - Broadsheet publishes the values supplied by editors or an installed adapter. It does not provide a market feed, results feed, live scoring, or a streaming-data service. - Tables, absolute timestamps, and charts remain useful with JavaScript disabled. The module only enhances the server-rendered page. - Keep boards below the documented 100-row authoring soft cap. Split larger datasets into focused boards or provide a dedicated data integration. - Optional Blog, Events, Search, Form Builder, Newsletter, Data Chart, Countdown, and Location Map packages improve selected paths; the theme retains explicit fallbacks when they are absent. - `capell:theme-broadsheet-demo` installs fictional sample content.
