# Overview # What this theme gives you Grounds makes a real place easier to understand before a visitor arrives. People can explore an illustrated desktop map, open a landmark as a readable section, or use the same content as a straightforward district guide on a phone. ## How to use it 1. Activate **Grounds** from Capell’s theme-management surface. 2. Choose **Campus Green**, **Night Market**, or **Blueprint** in Theme Studio. 3. Add one **World Frame** to the homepage and select Quad, High Street, Ring, or Riverside. 4. Add six to ten **Landmark Plot** widgets directly after it. Give each a unique landmark ID and use the same world slug. 5. Add one **Minimap Nav** and a **Wayfinding Signpost** using those same IDs. 6. Preview the desktop map, mobile district strip, list mode, keyboard navigation, and reduced-motion mode before publishing. ## Grounds sections - **World Frame** introduces the place and chooses the coordinate template. - **Landmark Plot** holds one real place with its own heading, introduction, media, and link. - **Minimap Nav** and **Wayfinding Signpost** remain working fragment navigation without JavaScript. - **District Directory**, **Resident Profile**, and **Opening Hours Board** cover everyday visitor information. - **Events Billboard**, **Visit Planner**, and **Trail Story** support programming, conversion, and place stories. ## Good to know - Use only one Minimap Nav on a homepage. Extra instances deliberately stay as plain navigation lists. - Template slots are tested not to overlap for ten normal landmarks. A coordinate override wins over the template and can create an overlap, so use it only after checking all desktop sizes. - Keep landmark copy concise. Very tall authored content remains readable when focused but makes the spatial footprint harder to scan. - The map/list choice is stored only for the browser session. Reduced-motion visitors start in list mode and can opt into instant map jumps. - Mobile is intentionally a district strip and stacked guide, not a compressed draggable map. - Fernworks Yard is fictional.
