Overview

Data Chart turns small editorial datasets into bar, line, or donut charts without a client charting service. Each chart is rendered server-side and paired with a complete accessible data table.

Add Data Chart in Layout Builder, enter a title, and choose Bar, Line, or Donut. Add one to eight series, each with one to 50 labelled numeric points. Values can range from -1,000,000 to 1,000,000. Preview the public page before publishing.

Editors configure the chart type and editorial data in Layout Builder. The public page renders a server-side SVG followed by an expandable Chart data table containing every series, label, and value.

  • This free beta extension belongs to Capell Foundation and requires Layout Builder.
  • The chart is editorial data, not a connection to an analytics service, spreadsheet, CSV import, or live data source.
  • SVG titles and pattern fills, plus the HTML data table, keep meaning available without relying on colour alone.
  • Labels and values are escaped before rendering; use concise labels because the visual marks expose the point label and value in their accessible title.

Capture the chart configuration and a public chart with pattern-filled marks, accessible point titles, and its expanded data-table disclosure. The committed Marketplace card is interim beta artwork until these two fixture captures are recorded.
